Interlok Hose

metal hose

Interlok Hoses are manufactured from helically wound stainless steel strip with interlocked seams. Unlike corrugated hoses, they are not designed for high-pressure service but excel in flexibility, vibration absorption, and resistance to mechanical damage. They are commonly used for exhaust gas systems, ducting, and protective casing around other hoses or cables. Available in stainless steel or galvanized steel, with optional packing for enhanced leak tightness.

  • Size Range (DN)

    DN25 – DN500 (larger on request)

  • Materials

Stainless Steel (304 / 316), Galvanized Steel, Bronze

  • Construction

Helically wound interlocked strip, optional packing

  • Pressure Rating

Atmospheric to ~2 bar (not for high-pressure service)

  • Temperature Range

–196°C to +600°C (depending on material)

  • Movements

Excellent flexibility for vibration and thermal movement

Typical use case: Used extensively in engine exhaust and ducting systems for power plants, marine engines, and industrial equipment where gas flow flexibility and vibration absorption are essential.

Other applications:

  • Protective casing for corrugated hoses or electrical cables
  • Suction lines for dust, fumes, and hot gases
  • Conveying dry bulk materials (cement, grain, powders)
  • Ventilation and HVAC ducting in industrial facilities
  • Extremely flexible and lightweight construction
  • Ideal for low-pressure and exhaust applications
  • Can be packed for improved leak resistance
  • Provides mechanical protection in harsh environments
  • High temperature resistance with stainless steel versions
  • Lower cost alternative to corrugated hoses where pressure capability is not required
  • Long service life with minimal maintenance
